Mastering your mindset is critical in all areas of your life.
It's even more critical when it comes to money given the huge role it plays in our daily lives.
I am inspired to write this post because money is all around us and we are so connected to it.
However, we rarely if ever, pause to investigate how we feel about money, how we speak about it or even what the heck money actually is.
Growing up in Lagos and even in London, money was one of those things my parents barely talked about.
If ever it was talked about, it was always from the perspective of scarcity and need.
This served to perpetuate the situation we were in and wasn't helped by having friends and family with similar thoughts.
It was only much later in life that I learned through having a mentor and reading books that you are what you say you are.
Truth is, the more you can reflect on your relationship with money, the better that relationship will be.
Below are some of my thoughts on money. Please feel free to share some of yours in the comments.
Money is just plain vanilla
It is like a blank sheet of paper that minds its own business but gathers its energy from the meaning we give it.
For example – A £50 note you find during your leisurely walk has a different energy to £50 you earned working for 5 hours on the weekend.
It will also have a different energy to £50 you punted on Bitcoin or some random painting in a car boot sale which may be worth £50,000.
Money is a tool
It can take you wherever you want, but you will need to be seated in the driving seat.
For this reason, I am fascinated about making money.
Do you want to support a local charity or church? You need some money. Want to help the homeless? You'll also need some money.
So why do people frown at those who want to make more money? I understand that the selfish love of money is crazy.
However, if you asked anyone you know, once they have sorted out their need for survival and lifestyle money, they usually want to help others.
So making money is good! Make it purposeful and make it happen. Feel free to check out 85 Ways to Make Extra Money.
Money is in the mind
Just as the centurions of old could command their soldiers, you too can say to money – Come, and it will come. Go over there, and it will go over there.
Here is a cracking concept that might make your head spin –
[yellowbar]Money will always come to you through other people, but it comes from Universal Intelligence, as do all things.[/yellowbar]
All thoughts are connected and gain their source from Universal Intelligence.
As such, to make money, you have to focus on the frequency of your thoughts rather than on the people you hope to make money from.
For example – let’s say you need to make £7,000 to fly your mum on an all expenses paid dream trip.
You have a classic watch you want to sell in order to foot the bill and you have a keenly interested party.
By raising your frequency of thought and focusing on the £7,000 coming towards you rather than on the particular person you hope to get it from, and focusing on the exchange taking place between the £7,000 and an awesome valuable classic piece; would lead to Universal Intelligence delivering that money into your hands.
This is because money is currency, and currency is energy.
Money is a renewable source
It comes and goes, it ebbs and flows through us and should never be stagnant.
This means money is not ours to hoard and keep permanently. We are meant to give and receive money and think of it from an energy of abundance.
The more you have a happy and healthy focus on this energy of abundance, the more you will create more wealth.
Money is neither good nor bad
It is a medium of exchange and a messenger.
It's what you do with it and how you feel, think and speak (be kind to it!) about it that gives it some colour and personality.
And depending on the personality you give it, you will either want a tonne or none of it.
Money is your mate. Give as much of it as you can and often, and receive it with thanks and Joy. Raise your frequency game and flow in abundance.
Keen on your thoughts. What 3 positive words can you use to describe money?
Do please share this post if you found it useful, and remember, in all things be thankful and Seek Joy.
